The one bit of news -- phoned in by a listener no less --is that Norman Stolzoff has shot a documentary based on his book from 2000, Wake The Town & Tell The People--Dancehall Culture In Jamaica (Duke University Press), about the history of sound system culture in Jamaica. The doc, to be titled Louder Than Words follows Killamanjaro Sound System and RIcky Trooper around the island, including in to Maroon Country. Should be an instant classic when it comes out!
