Reggae Must Play



Saturday March 19, Saturday Night Rockers was the place to be on the FM dial--KUSF 90.3 . Here’s some of the highlights of my three hour broadcast:

Hour three: Bitty McLean’s “I Got Love” on Peckings—a relick of a classic rocksteady riddim, then a rocksteady set including Winston & Robin, Sugar Minott and Alton Ellis on Studio One riddims, Slim Smith & Dawn Penn on Striker Lee productions off the new Striker Lee 4-CD box set (Jet Star), Gaylads “Joy In The Morning (Treasure Isle), then roots selections from Midnite, Lions Den, Don Carlos, Mikey Dread, Twinkle Brothers and Wailing Souls.
