Four-Ward Ever!
ForwardEver blog is four-years old this month!
ForwardEver was founded December 2004 with the intention of writing about music, culture and other interests. Regular readers know that we touch on politics, reggae music and occasionally even running!
Posts have also featured DJ mixes, hot new tunes and other crucial information, including album release dates and riddim reviews. For more writing, check the ForwardEver Scrolls sidebar.
The blog's name was the motto of Ghanaian leader and Pan-Africanist Kwame Nkruma (pictured above), a slogan that was widely adopted across the Afro-Caribbean diaspora, including Jamaica. Nkruma's message continues to resonate today, as we find ourselves exiting the disastrous Bush period and lunching into hope-fueled years with Obama.
There's no telling what lies ahead, but as often as possible this blog will continue to chronicle the many triumphs, shifts, changes, ties and connections throughout music and society.
For now -- thank you for checking us!
