Two Great Reggae Docs

Two great reggae documentaries to check out!

Before Reggae Hit The Town – This short documentary explores the African origins of Jamaican music, including Kumina, Pocomania and Rastafarian music traditions. Although just a "student film," the production, narration and story arc make it an engaging watch.

Sound Business – This BBC documentary narrated by Mikey Dread takes us into the world of reggae sound systems in the UK during the 1980s. This period saw a flourishing of roots and foundation sounds, many of which exist to this day, and have been highly influential on British dance music, from reggae to dubstep.
